Shimotsuke-no-kuni Issha Hachimangū

What it is

• A shrine in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture.
• Founded in 1056 by Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie.
• Dedicated to Homenwake no Mikoto, Okinagatarashihime no Mikoto, and Hime Okami.
• Formerly known as Ashikaga-sho Hachimangu.

What to see

• The current main hall, rebuilt in 1814.
• A bronze torii, donated in 1793.
