Shinmei Shrine: a rebuilt shrine in Sakai, Osaka, with ancient lanterns and unique climbing certificates.
What it is
- Founded in 1821 by Sasaki Nagato.
- Originally named Asahi Shrine.
- Dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami and Toyouke Omikami.
- Rebuilt in 1997 after wartime destruction.

- Two stone lanterns stand at the main approach entrance.
