- Also known as Higashi Hongan-ji Sapporo Betsu-in.
- Established in 1870 as Higashi Hongan-ji Kansatsu.
- Renamed Sapporo Betsu-in in 1876.

- The main hall, relocated from Kōen-ji in 1871.
- Current main hall completed in 1892.
- Current main gate completed in 1914.
- Bell tower completed in July 1925.
- Study and ossuary completed in 2003.
