What it is

  • Shinto shrine in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
  • Dedicated to Emperor Ojin and Empress Jingu.
  • Became a manor of Iwashimizu Hachiman-gu in 1158.
  • Renamed Shiota Hachiman-gu in 1963.

What to see

  • 150 stone steps leading to the main hall.
  • Nine subsidiary shrines are enshrined.
  • Current main hall rebuilt in 1657.

  • 40-minute walk from Shintetsudojo Station.
  • Parking is available at the shrine.
