Shisen-dō Temple is a historic Zen temple with a beautiful garden designed by a scholar.

- Founded by Ishikawa Jōzan, a scholar and poet.
- Dedicated to Marōfu Kannon.
- Designated as a National Historic Site.

- Ōtotsuka is the central building.
- Hyakkaen garden was designed by Jōzan.
- Garden features a sōzu (shishi-odoshi) devised by Jōzan.

- May for azaleas in the garden.
- November for autumn leaves in the garden.
