Shoboin is a historic Tendai temple with a unique ancient stone rod deity.
What it is
- A Tendai sect temple.
- Founded by Gyoki in 730.
- Formerly associated with Shitaya Shrine.
- Moved to its current location in 1905.

- A shrine dedicated to Ishine Gongen.
- The deity is a Jomon period stone rod.
- The old main hall was a shoin of Prince Komiya.
