  • Also known as Midō Kannon.
  • Founded in 807 by Sakanoue Tamuramaro.
  • 32nd sacred site of the Ōshū Kannon Pilgrimage.

  • Current Buddha hall, rebuilt in 1970.
  • Yuhazu no Izumi spring behind the main hall.
  • Source of the Kitakami River.
  • Large cedar tree beside the main hall.
  • Cedar tree is said to be 1200 years old.
