Shōman-ji Temple
勝鬘寺
Shōman-ji Temple is a historic Shinshu Otani temple with important Edo-period architecture.
What it is
- A Shinshu Otani sect temple.
- Founded by Ryōi during the Tensho era (1573-1592).
- Moved to Nagoya Castle town in 1612.
- Became a branch temple of Higashi Hongan-ji.
