Shōon-ji Temple is a historic Sōtō Zen temple with graves of important local figures.
What it is
- A Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple.
- Established between 1461 and 1466.
- Moved to Sendai in 1602.
- The 23rd temple of the Sendai 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.
