Shōsei-in Temple
昌清院
Shosei-in is a historic Rinzai temple, a designated green space, and an easy walk from Shonan-machiya Station.
What it is
- A Rinzai sect temple.
- A sub-temple of Nyoi-an, Engaku-ji.
- Founded by Isoku Tokuman, who died in 1597.
- Another account states Muge Myoken, who died in 1369, was the founder.
What to see
- A Special Green Space Conservation Area.
- The area is 0.8 hectares.
