Shukushō-ji Temple is a historic Sōtō Zen temple with a unique Kannon statue and renovated grounds.

What it is

  • A Sōtō Zen temple.
  • Founded around 1506 by Rinsō Shōkatsu.
  • The Nagano clan is believed to be the founder.
  • Received 21 koku of land from the shogunate.
