Sōgo-ji Temple

Sōgo-ji Temple is a historic Zen temple with samurai clan ties, worth visiting for its cultural heritage.
What it is
- A Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple.
- Founded by Wakasa-no-Tsubone, a consort of Minamoto no Yoriie.
- Renamed Sōgo-ji and moved in 1592 by Morikawa Ujitoshi.
- Became the family temple of the Morikawa clan.
