Sōmaōta Shrine, founded in the 10th century, is a historical site with unique cultural properties.
What it is
- Also called Ōta Shrine.
- Dedicated to Amenominakanushi no Ōkami.
- Originated in 931-937 with Taira no Masakado.
- Became tutelary deity of the Nakamura Domain Sōma clan.

- These include battle drums and votive horse paintings.

- Sōma Nomaoi festival is held here.
