Suikyō Tenmangū

What it is

• A Tenmangu shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane.
• Founded after Michizane saw his reflection in the Shijūgawa River.
• Relocated to its current site in 1612 by Kuroda Nagamasa.
• The Tenjin area of Fukuoka City is named after this shrine.
