Takenami Shrine

Takenami Shrine is a historic complex of shrines, some dating to 1069, dedicated to important deities and historical figures.
What it is
- A complex of seven shrines in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture.
- Adopted as tutelary deity by the Iwamura Toyama clan.
- Main deities include Ōnamuchi-no-mikoto and Hondawake-no-mikoto.
- Minamoto no Yoritomo and his descendants are also enshrined.
