Tanba Kokubun-niji

What it is

• A Jodo sect temple in Kameoka dedicated to the deity Yakushi Nyorai.
• The site is a designated National Historic Site managed by Sennen-ji Temple.
• The complex follows the traditional Hokki-ji style temple layout.
• The original structures were reportedly burned by the forces of Akechi Mitsuhide.
