What it is

  • A historic road marker, created in 1604.
  • Built by order of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
  • One of two Nakasendo ichirizuka designated as national historic sites.
  • Designated a national historic site on October 3, 1930.

What to see

  • The southern mound of the original marker.
  • Site of Asano Yoshinaga's camp during the Battle of Sekigahara.
