Teigen-ji Temple is a historic Jodo-shu Buddhist temple rebuilt after disasters.
What it is
- It is a Jodo-shu Buddhist temple.
- Keiyo Shunko founded it in 1601.
- It was originally named Tosei-ji Temple.
- The temple was renamed Teigen-ji.
When to go
- It burned down in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.
- It burned down again in 1945 air raids.
