Teuri Island

What it is

• A 5.47 square kilometer island located 30 kilometers west of Haboro Port
• Japan's only breeding ground for the common murre seabird
• Part of the Shokanbetsu-Teuri-Yagishiri Quasi-National Park
• A designated National Natural Monument since 1938
