Tōen-bō Temple
東円坊
Tōen-bō Temple, founded in 1135, preserves a unique Buddha statue and historical artifacts.
What it is
- A temple in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.
- Established in 1135 by Myōson.
- Dedicated to the main deity Yakushi Sanzon.
- Named after Myōson's son, Tōen-bō.

- An old Buddha statue of Daitsuchishō Nyorai is enshrined.
- The wooden seated statue was made by Inyoshi in 1330.
