Tōgaku-ji Temple

Tōgaku-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple with a unique principal image.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha temple.
- Founded by Jōyo Hōin during the Eiroku era (1558-1570).
- Rebuilt in 1915 after an 1880 fire.
What to see
- The principal image is a Yakushi Nyorai.
- The Yakushi statue was retrieved from the sea.
