Tōhō Shrine
東峰神社
A small shrine near Narita Airport dedicated to aviation safety and labor.
What it is
- Founded in 1937 as Kōkū Jinja (Aviation Shrine).
- Established by Otojirō Itō.
- Originally enshrined victims of aviation accidents.
- Now enshrines Ninomiya Sontoku as a deity of labor.

- A small wooden shrine, 1.5 square meters.
- Original divine object: wooden tag with 8 accident victims' names.
- Shrine grounds surrounded by airport property.
- Located near Narita International Airport's B runway.
