An ancient Shinto shrine founded in 717 enshrining multiple deities and featuring historical tree stumps from the Toyotomi Hideyoshi era.
What it is
- A Shinto shrine in Nakatsugawa City originally established in June 717.
- Formerly known as Nangu Shrine before being renamed in 1869.
- Enshrines deities including Kanayamahiko no Mikoto, Kanayamahime no Mikoto, and Sugawara no Michizane.
- Designated as a Ginpeisha by Gifu Prefecture and granted religious corporation status in 1946.
