What it is

  • A Rinzai Zen temple of the Myoshin-ji school.
  • Founded as a hermitage in 1413 by Shōzen.
  • Re-established as a temple in 1646 by Ichigan Echō.
  • Moved to its current location in 1768.

  • A temple gate built in 1888.

  • A Koyasu Jizo-do behind the main hall.
