- A former district shrine dedicated to Takeiwatatsu-no-mikoto and Himemiko-myojin
- Established during the Tensho era and moved to its current location in 1753
- Serves as the guardian deity for the Taneyama district
- Houses an object of worship with a written record dating back to 1626
