What it is

  • Shrine dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Hakkudaijin.
  • Hakkudaijin is known as Hirakata no Onshishisama, a large lion's head.
  • Associated with the Minamoto clan, with a Hidari Mitsudomoe crest.
  • Existed between 1688-1704, current name adopted after Meiji Restoration.
