Yanagihara Shrine
楊原神社
Yanagihara Shrine is a historic shrine with a unique sea-washing festival, worth visiting for its cultural significance.
What it is
- Dedicated to Oyamatsumi-no-mikoto, Iwanagahime-no-mikoto, and Konohanasakuyahime-no-mikoto.
- Relocated to its current site in the Sengoku period.
- Rebuilt and moved in 1590.
- Formerly known as Omiya Daimyojin, Kanuki Daimyojin, and Matsuhiko Daimyojin.

- Annual festival with Oasa Shrine includes washing portable shrines in the sea.
