Yasaka Shrine is a historic site in Tsuchiura, revered by local lords, with cultural properties and a summer festival.
What it is
- A shrine dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Ugami-no-Mitama-no-Mikoto.
- Known as Gozu Tenno-sha during the Edo period.
- Revered by the Tsuchiya clan, lords of Tsuchiura Domain.
- Merged with Haguro Shrine in 1913.
