Yasaka Shrine is a historic Kagoshima shrine dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, rebuilt after war destruction.
What it is
- One of the Five Shrines of Kagoshima.
- Dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto and his consort.
- Also enshrines eight other deities.
- Relocated to this site in 1724.

- Current buildings rebuilt after the Pacific War.
Getting there
- Northeast of JR Kagoshima Station.
- On the north side of the Inarigawa River mouth.
