Yasaka Shrine is a historic Nara shrine dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, rebuilt multiple times after fires.
What it is
- A Shinto shrine in Nara City.
- Also known as Oshigecho Gion-sha.
- Founded as a subsidiary of Tamukeyama Hachiman-gu by 1338.
- Enshrines Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Kushinadahime-no-Mikoto, and Yahashira-no-Mikogami.

- The main hall is a three-bay nagare-zukuri style.
- The worship hall has a tiled roof.
- A Benzaiten-sha stands outside the main hall's fence.
- A stone lantern from 1864 is on the grounds.
