Yōun-ji Temple
陽雲寺
Younji Temple is a Soto Zen temple with ancient art and a historic bell, worth visiting for its cultural properties.
What it is
- A Soto Zen Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 820 by Jikaku Daishi Ennin.
- Originally named Manganji, later Soeiji, then Younji.
- Re-established by Tokugawa Ieyasu's retainer Kawakubo Nobutoshi.

- Fifteen ancient Buddha paintings, a Kamisato-machi cultural property.
- An old bronze Sho Kannon standing statue.
