Zenshō-ji Temple
善照寺
Zenshō-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple with unique statues, easily accessible from Matsudo Station.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Moved to its current location in 1611.
What to see
- Fudō-dō hall directly in front of the main gate.
- Enshrined Fudō Myōō statue, called "Hifuse Fudō."
- Main hall to the right of the main gate.
- Hotei statue in front of the main hall.
- Hotei statue is one of the Matsudo Seven Lucky Gods.
