What it is

  • A keyhole-shaped tumulus, an ancient burial mound.
  • Part of the Bessho Kofun Group.
  • Estimated to have been built in the 6th century.

What to see

  • A two-tiered mound construction.
  • The tumulus is 125 meters long.
  • Posterior circular part: 85 meters diameter, 14 meters high.
  • Anterior square part: 105 meters wide, 15 meters high.
  • A horizontal stone chamber is inside the circular part.
