Chōraku-ji Temple

Chorakuji is a historic Jodo-shu Buddhist temple with a long history and notable artifacts.
What it is
- A Jodo-shu Buddhist temple.
- Founded as Shomyoji by Saiyo.
- Rebuilt by Obiya Doju, who died in 1658.
What to see
- A temple bell made in 1695.
- A stone lantern from 1707 in front of the main hall.
- Another lantern installed on the temple grounds in 1811.
- The main hall, rebuilt in 1995 after a fire.
