What it is

  • A Jōdo-shū Buddhist temple.
  • Founded in 1022 by Busshi Jōchō.
  • Also known as Meyami Jizō.
  • The 16th temple of the Rakuyō 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.

What to see

  • The principal image is Jizō Bosatsu.
  • Kannon-dō enshrines a wooden seated Senju Kannon statue.
  • The Senju Kannon statue is an Important Cultural Property.
