Daien-ji Temple: a historic Tendai temple with ancient statues and 520 stone Buddhas.
What it is
- A Tendai sect temple.
- Founded by ascetic Oukai during the Kanei era (1624-1644).
- Enshrines Daikokuten, one of the Yamanote Shichifukujin.
- Rebuilt in 1848 after the Great Fire of Meiwa.
