Ancient Tendai temple in Sasayama, home to significant Buddhist statues and architecture.
What it is
- Tendai sect temple in Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture.
- Founded between 645 and 650 by Hodo Sennin.
- Rebuilt between 1312 and 1317 by Emperor Hanazono.
- Called "Shosoin of Tanba."

- Main hall is an Important Cultural Property.
- Three wooden seated Dainichi Nyorai and Amida Nyorai statues.
- Two wooden standing Jikokuten and Zochoten statues.
