Daiyou-ji Temple

What it is

• A Soto Zen temple founded in 1608 by Okudaira Iemasa.
• The temple is dedicated to the main deity Shakyamuni Nyorai.
• The first head priest was the youngest son of Imagawa Yoshimoto.
• The temple moved to its current location in 1619.
