Entsu-ji Temple is a historic Soto Zen temple with notable trees and monuments, especially beautiful in autumn.

What it is

  • A Soto Zen Buddhist temple.
  • Founded in 1382 by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu.
  • Named Entsu-ji by Emperor Go-En'yu's command.
