Hashihaka Kofun

What it is

• It is a keyhole-shaped tumulus.
• Designated as the tomb of Princess Yamatototohimomosohime.
• Considered one of the oldest keyhole-shaped tumuli.

• The tumulus is approximately 278 meters long.
• Rear circular part has a 150-meter diameter, 30 meters high.
• Front square part is 130 meters wide, 16 meters high.
• Part of the moat is one of the 100 best reservoirs.
• River stones used as revetment on the northern slope.
