Ancient shrine protecting against misfortune, with unique trees and a festival.
What it is
- Ancient shrine founded in 90 BC, by tradition.
- Dedicated to Katatagae Sachio Okami.
- Known for protection against directional misfortunes.
- Located at the border of three old provinces.
What to see
- Main hall, rebuilt in December 2017.
- Designated natural monument: a Kurogane Mochi tree.
- Two camphor trees and a ginkgo tree are preserved.
When to go
- Chimaki Festival is held on May 31st.

- 5-minute walk from Sakaihigashi Station (Nankai Koya Line).
- 10-minute walk from Sakai City Station (JR Hanwa Line).
