What it is

  • A Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha temple founded by Shaku Sokin in 1617
  • Originally established as a sub-temple of Asakusa Mido in Edo
  • The family temple for the Saito family, including the artist Toshusai Sharaku
  • Relocated from its original location to Koshigaya City in 1993
