Hoon-ji is an ancient temple founded by a disciple of Shinran, rebuilt after a fire.
What it is
- A Shinshu Otani sect temple.
- Founded in 1214 by Shoshin, a disciple of Shinran.
- Originates from Daigaku-ji temple, entrusted to Shoshin.
- Rebuilt in 1806 after being burned down in 1600.
