Hōshō-ji Temple

Hoshō-ji is a Rinzai temple with historical structures and pilgrimage connections.
What it is
- Rinzai sect Myōshin-ji school temple.
- Founded in 1636 by Kokugaku Kenkō.
- 14th temple of the Mino Mizunami 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.
- 4th temple of the Ena New Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
What to see
- Hōkyōintō from the early Muromachi period.
- Amidado built in 1773.
- Current main hall built in 2004.
- Hōkyōintō Darani-kyō Kuyo-tō.
- Reijō Junpai Kuyo-tō.
- Stone walls from the Keichō era (around 1610).
