Idai-ji Temple

Idai-ji Temple is a historic Rinzai Buddhist temple with a unique Kannon statue and ceiling painting.

- Rinzai sect Myoshin-ji school temple.
- Founded in October 1599 by Amuro Yoko.
- Rebuilt in 1836 by Koyama Genkan.
- 25th temple of the Ena 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.

- Coffered ceiling painting Hyakka Mandala by Ozeki Shigenosuke.
- Eleven-faced Kannon statue made of cypress wood.
- Statue is 165cm tall.
- Only Heian period Buddha statue in Ena City.
