- Founded in 826 by Mino Gon no Kami Sunohara Ihoe.
- Originally called Amatsukami Daimyojin.
- Revered by the Toki clan as their tutelary deity.
- Enshrines 15 seats and 20 deities.

- Komainu were donated by the Toki clan.
- Komainu are Yamagata City Important Cultural Properties.
