What it is

  • A temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect dedicated to the deity Dainichi Nyorai.
  • Restored by Ekaku Hoin in 1383 with a mountain name of Iizunasan.
  • The current main hall dates back to a reconstruction in 1832.
