Kamo Shrine is a historic site in Ukiha with ancient artifacts and imperial connections.
What it is
- Shrine in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
- Enshrines Kamowakeikazuchi no Mikoto and Tamayorihime no Mikoto.
- Also enshrines Emperor Jimmu and Kamo Okami.
- Associated with Kyoto's Kamigamo and Shimogamo shrines.
What to see
- Jomon pottery and stone tools were excavated here.
- Sarcophagi were also found on the grounds.
