Kenshō-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple in Tokyo with a unique carved treasure.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1611 by Hoin Kenshu.
- Relocated in 1634 after its founding.
What to see
- Manaita Daishi, a wooden board treasure.
- The board has "Namu Amida Butsu" carved on it.
- Kukai carved the Manaita Daishi.
