What it is

  • A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
  • Founded by Jikaku Daishi Ennin during the Jowa era (834-848).
  • Restored by Choben Ajari in the Kamakura period.
  • Temple grounds were the residence of Inage Shigenari.
